It did take me some time to get the “stock” – in Mainz we have a “Beamtenwecker” (you might google it if you are interested). But – I really like this building in your photo, it’s not too bad in its hive-ness. And the trees’ shadows are nicely captured.
Well, once there was a time when government officials were top in social rankings, not bottom. At those times, long ago, the Bavarian king sent in one of his best architects, Friedrich von Gärtner, to erect the building for the saline administration. Today, for the officers fourth-level “Plattenbauten” (buildings made with precast concrete slabs) have to suffice.
