A project’s excursion to one of the schools in Prague 11, a massive suburb in the south of the center, led us through an underpass and along this apartment block. I found it impressive, both.
On my strolls a bit away of the touristic maelstrom of Prague I found a small café not only with wonderful organic coffee but also a fine collection of photographs on the wall in the first floor. Nota bene the Thonet chairs at the formica tables.

I tried to translate parts of the Czech words on the memorial placque, but didn’t get very far. However the date hints to a (probabyl extrajudicial) killing at the end of WWII. Update: May 5, 1945, was the date of the Czech uprising against the German occupation in Prague.
