I can’t help imagining a guy sitting cross-legged with a very large needle and thread. I know there’s a critical stance that says photographs shouldn’t depend on text in the subject matter, to which I say nonsense. Tell that to Paul Strand or Walker Evans. I make them all the time, and appreciate when others do.
