Found in the evening in Kattankudi (where these sad images are from). Being a Muslim traders’ town, Kattankudi is buzzing with activity until late at night, totally different to Tamil Batticaloa, where shops close usually before 20:00 hours.

What an intriguing image, Markus. The suspended wares, interesting lighting and motion blur give a lot of energy to this photo. Well seen and well captured!
Earl, it seems I could transport that mood. Overall this is a fascinating place, especially impressing due to the many contrasts distributed on a very small patch of land, where Muslim and Tamil places just alternate.
