Colin, this tension was, what caused me to take this picture: The reds are common, yet the brighter, purer red and the round shape of the ball make it somewhat “alien” in that front yard.
Invisible, this has also another tension in it: the building in the background is an elderlies’ home, so this kids’ ball in the garden is strange in a double sense.
That ball looks like it’s suspended in mid air above the fence! It’s quite an incongruous object.
