Livingstone, Maramba Road (OSM)
This image is not sharp due to the necessity to hide my photographic activity (people here think that every photographer makes big $$$ and therefore oppose to being photographed), but I still find the setting interesting enough to publish. Maybe this is what HCB meant when opposing sharp images and fuzzy ideas.
You’re doing awfully well for concealed activity! Shooting from the hip? From the chest with the camera hidden by a jacket? I think there are ethical issues to doing this with people pictures (Paul Strand not withstanding) but for pictures of interesting “stuff” it seems fine.
Carl, I had a small compact camera with my, inconspicously hanging from my chest – didn’t dare to bring out the DSLM. But the hurrying in the dimmed light all too often created motion blur. Walker Evans of course was more audacious…
