Certainly not. As one of the finest examples of vernacular Renaissance architecture, it oozes the newly found self-esteem of that time, with man in the center.

Thanks, Tom. For me, Erfurt was the first time that I visited the former Eastern part of Germany, and I was more than astonished to find so much historical structure renovated in a very convincing way. Certainly worth another visit!
