@Michael, Walter, Uwe: for me it is astonishing that the ivy is brown and dead, but not so much the graffiti. As ivy grows slow, those graffiti must be several years old – normally *they* should show traces of decay.
I like the dual sense of faded (or implied decay) that goes into this image.
