Traboules are small passages through blocks of buildings, a peculiarity of Lyon and quite well hidden despite their description in the tourist guide books. Especially in WW II they made the life quite hard for the occupational forces, and whilst quite a number is dysfunctional nowadays, the remaining ones are well used by the locals.
