  1. This is such a great capture. There’s a touch of surrealism to it. And that sign pointing to the mural like it’s some sort of portal to another world. Excellent.

    1. Thanks, Cedric – I made best use of the extreme winter weather that had caught me in Vienna. If I had traveled there by plane, it would have given me some extra hours to stroll around, as the airport was closed for the better half of the day.

  2. It is wonderful. One of the photos where I know I will come back to again and again.

Yes, surrealism as Cedric pointed out. Dreamlike. Strange. The soft yellowish light on the left. The trompe-l’œil. The curves on the cars. The curves on the windows.

I would like to stand there and look.

    1. I certainly had found it in a most wonderful context with all that snow. In four weeks time I’ll be back (it’s not far from the Hundertwasser house where they’ll show the Saul Leiter Retrospective), and I’ll try to have a look at it again.

    1. I will try to print it – it could be a bit challenging with all those contrasts, but if it works, it really could be stunning.

    1. Chris, for me it’s a wonderful combination both in terms of shapes as in subject – they seem to work perfectly hand in hand together here.
