Stop The New Tax Avalanche

. Tagged with

Of course nobody loves to pay taxes. But thinking twice about it, I have to agree a former colleague, who told me: “I’d love to pay the highest tax rate. Because then I would have the corresponding income.” There’s not much to add, I think.

  1. There is two kinds of problems with money. One, not enough, or two, having to pay taxes. Taxes are no fun, but much better than no money. Taxes are part of the social contract that keeps a society functioning.

    1. “Taxes are part of the social contract that keeps a society functioning.” Very true, Jeff, but sadly enough that attitude is rare nowadays (not only in the U.S, beware. Some years ago, the German Post boss was convicted for tax fraud). And super-rich people showing off how little taxes they pay certainly don’t help to strengthen the social contract.
