One of the great Italian architects of the recent history was Carlo Scarpa. Appropriate to the Biennale d’Architettura, the showrooms on the Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore featured an exhibition of his early masterpieces, when he worked for the Venini Glass Works and created glass items in the nineteen-thirties, that still look fresh today.
To my great joy, photography was allowed inside the exhibition, albeit not really simple due to the subdued light. Once more, the decision in favour of prime lenses proved to be a really good one.
