Markus, the last three posted photos have emphasized strong vertical lines/objects. They all draw the eye upwards wonderfully. I would guess this was a theme when you were composing them? ?
Earl, this is a development I still have not fully understood: Normally I am a landscape person. I rarely use smartphone or tablets for fun, spend full working days in front of the landscape-format screen, and in my film days and even for years in the digital era my images were in landscape format. But in the last monthes, even years, I learned to embrace the portrait image orientation. I have no explanation for this, but I learned to enjoy it and use the strong dynamics you’ve observed for their graphical power. Don’t know if this is a phase that will end someday, but as long as it lasts I try to get the best out of it.
