Sometimes (okay, always) I play a game: looking at your post and _not_ looking at the caption and guessing where the photo might have been taken. I thought Munich with this one.
Ein fast brutales Bild. Aber das ist so in manchen Ecken, wenn alt auf neu & umgekehrt trifft. Ein scheinbar leises Bild, dass aber umso lauter spricht. Und da soll noch mal einer sagen, Beton würde schweigen.
Images such as this serve to remind me in the grand scheme of the universe all things created by man are but temporary. If man were to disappear today in a few centuries most of the surface evidence of his existence would disappear. There a certain brutal beauty in that truth.
Earl, mankind’s current behaviour unfortunately does not show too many signs of sustainability… And recording in – and recognizing the beauty even in this – seems to be a valuable task for us photographers.
