Der Himmel über Irland ist auf seine Weise so faszinierend wie der über Berlin, Uwe. Die traditionellen irischen Gebäude haben dagegen etwas so handfestes, bodenständiges, dass sie einen ganz großen Spannungsbogen andeuten. Die Freiheit des Himmels war halt lange Zeit in Irland nur für die Kirche und die Oberschicht da.
Interesting photo of this little stone building. It has had a number of lives that started with religion, and then became a restaurant. The blue sky and red flowers in the pot softens the hardness of the stone. I see a CCTV on the corner. Perhaps the restaurant kept watch on customers on the patio?
Jeff, the Irish as well as the British seem to have no reservations regarding ubiquitous CCTVs. But Carrick on the weekend is crowded with quite drunk people of stag’s and hens’ nights, so I can somewhat understand the precautions.
