My natural habitat is a small town on pre-alpine meadows in Bavaria. Quite the contrary of Berlin of course – one sub-quarter there sports more traffic lights than my hometown can muster up. And so the impressions of a very diverse space have an almost unfiltered impact, especially after an exhausting 10h drive. But I’ve learned to relish that and to look for the different and interesting ways public space is inhabitated, used and orchestrated.
Woodbury added a fourth traffic light a year or so ago…
At that speed our hometowns will fortunately never grow into megacities!
