Aah, the title issue. Much has been said in favor of and against titles for photographs – most of it being true. Add to it the web dimension, where images are almost exclusively found through words, and where the title should make the only-rss-feed-readers curious. But this defunct unit for me reflected the development of the place: kids gone or interested in smartphones now, nobody playing in the streets any more. Kind of symptomatic for many small rural places
was für ein toller fund, an der kunstmesse hier in basel, genannt Art|Basel, wäre dieses objekt als kunstinstallation innerhalb kürzester zeit verkauft worden.
Die Kunstwelt funktioniert nach, hmm, seltsamen Gesichtspunkten, Walter. Aber uns bleibt die Genugtuung, die Dinge sehen zu können – als Objekte kaufen könnten wir sie eh nicht, da sind die Daumen zum Geldzählen zu kurz.
