The small town of Omišalj lies in the north of the island of Krk near the airport. The sea view from the beach is spoiled for romantic characters by the permanent visibility of the Rijeka refinery plant. But besides that it is a wonderful quiet place, very hospitable and renovated with great sense of locality.

The Kapuzinerberg in Salzburg, opposite to the old center end the Mönchsberg with its famous castle, offers a nonpareil view over the city. And the evening hours, from sunset to nightfall - very long in the summer - bring fast changing sceneries, dominated by the various shapes of the roofs below.
