“work and buy, pay taxes and die”

April 14th, 2009 by Markus

folk wisdom has it – there is nothing to add.

found on a house near river saalach, next to the village of Schneizlreuth.

i am a bit insecure about the translation, the first word “schaff” could also be translated as ‘create’, but the rhythm and flow then is a bit off.

  1. Laurie says:

What a beautiful entry with some very unique details.

  2. Earl says:

What a nice scene. With the natural stone and wood work and that wooden bench I believe I could sit there and soak up the sun for hours–perhaps with a cup of coffee and a good book for company. Wonderful.

  3. very good timing for such a saying… as April 15th is the big tax due date in the US…
