    1. The color certainly makes it stand out, also the form, but for me even more the fact that it’s all new and shiny, showing no signs of weather and such, being completely out of context in these surroundings of history laden arches, stones and bricks.

  1. Really like the new/old and bright/subdued contrasts. Haven’t seen a fireplug like that here in the U.S., I honestly would have guessed it was a fancy ashtray or something. Enjoyed browsing your blog, nice work!

    1. Thanks, Michael, glad you enjoy the blog! If one likes seeing traces of history in the streets and on the houses, Venice is a wonderful place. And that Italian sense for design sometimes adds new and fresh things like this fireplug in the most unexpected places.
